Pieter Nijman is an entrepreneur, interim manager and consultant and established SC Facilitators in 2000. Since then he has been active in Business Development & improvement programs in the Supply Chain. In 2002 he joined for 2,5 years the management team of the Triodos Venture Capital Fund to help start ups in Renewable Energy, Organic Food and Fair Trade operate more sustainable. After 2.5 years he choose to return to the entrepreneurial position himself.

Pieter has an M.Sc. degree in Monetary Economics from Erasmus University / Rotterdam School of Management. For 11 years he worked in Managerial functions with Nedlloyd in Holland, Spain, Portugal & Eastern Europe. After this period , he joined in 1997 for 3 years the European Supply Chain practice of Ernst & Young, before starting his own company. Pieter has extensive international experience in managing organisations, leading change & supply chain programs and managing business development projects.

As projectmanager he worked in projects developing & implementing Key Account Management, Network Rationalisation, Supply & Demand Planning, Strategic Network Design, Transportation strategy, Operational & Productivity improvement and Outsourcing.

Currently Pieter is involved in developing, www.ShipitSmarter.com , a visbility solution, enabling companies to drammatically improve the economics of their order-to-payment-cycle.

Pieter speaks English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Czech (basic) and Dutch (native language).
